In the English class last week, the teacher was teaching lesson 30: We are the world. Ed had stayed up the day before. He was feeling tired and dozed off then.

     It was 2025, Ed was teaching English in front of the class. But most of the students seemed to feel bored and dozed off. Ed was teaching grammar enthusiastically. Soon he found that his students were asleep and neglected him. He felt a little bit angry and hit the desk. ’ Wake up!’ he shouted.

     Then he heard someone shouting nearby. He got up from his dream and didn’t know where it was yet. He saw his classmate who was sitting next to him laugh at him. He felt confused and saw the way where his classmate pointed. It was his teacher standing in front of him. ‘Why are you falling asleep?’ the teacher asked angrily. ’I…I stayed up last night.’ Ed responded and felt ashamed. ‘You are a good student. I forgive you this time and never do it again. ‘The teacher said seriously. Ed breathed a sigh of relief because that teacher didn’t ask what he did last night. If he said that he played the video game all night, the teacher wouldn’t think of him as a good student anymore.  

It was Max’s birthday. His mother gave him a gift and told him quite to open it. There was something moving in the box. He was curiosity and excited. ‘Oh! It’s a dog!’ He said with surprise after he opened the box. He named the dog Mike and had a great night with him. The next day, he went out with Mike for their first walk. Then he bumped into his classmate in the park. Then he talked with his classmate for a long time. After he said goodbye with his classmate, he found that Mike was gone! There was only a leash left on the ground. He hope that Mike just went somewhere for fun. But after Max looking him for an hour, Mike still didn’t come back to the park. Max couldn’t believe that he just had it for one night and it disappeared. He cried out at the park for a while. It was getting darker and darker. The only thing Max could do was go home hopelessly.

     ‘Mike!’ Max found that the dog was in front of the house. It was Mike. It came home by himself. Max was so happy to see it again. Although his mother was angry about that he was late to home. Max still felt very glad to see Mike. And he knew he would cherish Mike forever.
